Case Study: A Year With G & G Landscape and Maine Snow and Ice Solutions
G&G Landscape Spring Training
How a local landscaping company became the brand their community already knew.
Before Charter Oak Media, G&G Landscape had no social media goals and no system. What they had was a business their community trusted, a crew that showed up and did the work, and a story nobody had ever thought to put on camera. Over twelve months, I changed that.

The Situation
No Goals. No System. No Benchmarks.
G&G Landscape came to me without a social media strategy. No posting cadence, no pillar integration, with very few metrics to measure against. The goal when they hired me was simple: post consistently, build an audience, and eventually become the brand people think of first in their market.
What happened went further than any of that.
The Work
Not a highlight reel. A content system that lives and breathes every day.
We built content around what G&G actually does, not finished lawns and clean equipment, but the real work. Early mornings, job sites, the decisions that go into doing the job right, and the people doing it. The transparency of the content gave the community an inside look at a company that had nothing to hide and every reason to show it.
The approach wasn't to advertise. It was to let the work speak at volume, consistently, until the audience felt like they already knew the company. Because when someone feels like they know you, they’ve already made the decision before they even pick up the phone.
“It gives customers an inside look at the company. Gives them knowledge of what the company does and how it does it, as well as the people involved. It allows them to get to know the company and the people before using them.”
The Results
.36M impressions. 2.71M video views. An audience that grew 620% and extended well beyond the local market, including out-of-state calls specifically about the salt system after watching content. But the metric that matters most isn't on any dashboard.
THE GAS STATION - A community member recognized a crew member at a gas station, walked up, and started asking questions about the business. He knew the crew before he'd ever called.
THE PHONE CALL - Customers started calling already knowing the company. Not asking the usual questions because the content had already answered them. The call became a formality.
THE WEBSITE - A direct, visible connection between videos being watched and traffic heading to the website. Content driving intent, intent driving action. All tracked in real time.
“We can definitely see a connection to videos being watched and then traffic heading to the website.”
The Insight
Local service businesses spend years building word-of-mouth one conversation at a time. A content system does the same thing — at volume, every single day, to people who are actively looking for exactly what you offer. The phone call becomes a formality. The decision is already made.
“I believe it is headed toward becoming more of a leading brand locally and worldwide. A company that does things the right way, looks out for the customer, and is willing to share knowledge with other contractors.”
